Since the first performance back in 1876 the so-called „Gruene Huegel“ in Bayreuth annually inspires Wagner enthusiasts all over the world. In summer 2010, the WagnerCiety will meet at this unique location from July 25 – August 28, when the Bayreuther Festspiele invite to enjoy the pleasures of Wagner’s compositions. The orchestrations at the legendary Wagner Festspielhaus – famous for its inimitable architecture and breathtaking acoustics – always promise impressive excitement and unforgettable moments.

Wagner enthusiasts, however, have to accept a waiting period of more than 12 years to attend the unique Festspiele. Traditionally, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Federal President Horst Köhler attend the premiere ceremony in Bayreuth, followed by notables of politics, industry and showbusiness.
